Riverside Adventure Company is proud to be working with the Lewisburg Sunset Rotary to organize this very cool (literally), very fun winter run.
CAP - 350 Participants (Organizers encourage pre-registration for this event) ONLY THE FIRST 200 REGISTRANTS WILL RECEIVE A FROSTY 5K EAR WARMER!
- Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and close at 9:45 a.m.
- Pre-race meeting at 9:45 a.m.
- Race begins PROMPTY at 10:00 a.m.
$15.00 until Dec. 31st, 2012.
$20.00 from Jan. 1st until online Registration closes on Jan 31st.
$25.00 day-of-race registration.
Registration will happen in the beautiful (and warm) Campus Theater. The race will start and end next door to the Campus theater near the intersection of South Fifth Street and Pine Alley. Our giant inflatable arch will make the start/finish location very obvious to all our participants.
The course is rolling, historic, beautiful and with any luck...snow covered. You can't find a prettier place to run in winter than Lewisburg. Lewisburg looks like a scene out of It's a Wonderful Life in the winter. The Bucknell campus boarders the route, and that in itself is kind of special. I could describe the course all day with words, or you could just push the button below to see a map of the route, the surrounding area, and an elevation diagram that should graphically answer any questions you might have.
The Frosty 5K will NOT be giving away T-shirts for this event. Instead they have decided to go with winter ear warmers, which will be given to the first 200 registrants.
This decision explains why there is no "T-shirt size" question on the registration form.
If you are wondering about something, chances are, so is someone else. Get interactive and post your questions on our interactive page by using the button. Organizers will try to answer you questions within 24 hours of your posting.
The Frost 5K will be one of the earlier events in a full day of fun in Lewisburg, PA. If you participate, plan on making a full day of this winter-blues buster!
The Heart of Lewisburg Ice Festival is held each year during the first week in February. Tons of ice art sparkle in downtown Lewisburg and Hufnagle Park. An ice sculptor will carve large interactive sculptures on site in Hufnagle Park on Friday. The event includes children's games in the park, live musical events, entertainment and dining specials, plus the Polar Bear Plunge into the Susquehanna River and a chocolate lovers festival. For more information on all things Lewisburg, go to www.lewisburgpa.com
After the event, we will post photos and event results here.
